Walk-in clients are welcome, however scheduled appointments are preferred. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority followed by patients with previously scheduled appointments. Sometimes surgical procedures and/or emergency cases will interrupt our schedule and occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere effort to see each client on time and apologize for any inconvenience.
Beginning on March 1, 2020, Riverwoods Pet Hospital will put into effect a new policy regarding surgery cancellations.
If a 48-hour cancellation notice is not given before a scheduled surgery, then a $50 cancellation fee will be charged to the client’s account.
Our staff will try to give reminder calls before the 48-hour window, but ultimately it is your responsibility as a client to cancel your appointment if need be. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we have decided that ultimately this is the best way to accommodate the needs of our growing clientele.
In the event, we are unable to keep our scheduled appointment we will contact you as soon as possible to make other arrangements.
For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be current and up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, sometimes they may be a little uneasy around new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons why we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that all animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the hospital waiting room.
Patient Arrival Policy
For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.
All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash and Care Credit. We no longer accept personal checks.
